A Home Within is committed to providing the highest quality training, support, and continuing education to volunteer therapists, prospective volunteers, and community stakeholders concerned with the holistic care of those impacted by foster care. We provide continuing education events grounded in contemporary research, social justice, local and national foster care policies, and clinical interventions pursuant to the regulations of our sponsoring bodies.

What Makes Our Continuing Education Program Different?

All trainings are committed to exploring how the social determinants of health influence poor mental health outcomes for system-involved youth, their families, and communities. We welcome a sustained dialogue on these issues in our trainings to lift up collective resources, expertise, and narrations of hope from our members.

Detailed Information Regarding Continuing Education Credit

Our continuing education events are free, and registration is available up until 24 hours prior to the start of the event. There is no penalty for cancellations. Content level is suitable for working mental health professionals with advanced degrees. There are no breaks during the programs.

Live webinars are interactive. In order to complete and receive credit for a live webinar, attendees must remain for the duration of each event and complete the course evaluation directly following it. A link to the evaluation will be shared in the Zoom chat box during the live webinar. Once the evaluation is completed, we will generate and issue certificates via email within one week of completion.
