Course Description
This in-depth CE course delves into how Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can be used to tackle the overwhelming consequences of abandonment wounds. Attendees will gain important understanding of the toll of abandonment, the fundamental tenets of ACT, and proven methods for incorporating ACT into their therapy work.
Credits
This course is eligible for 2 continuing education credits.

This course is suitable for Psychologists, LMHCs, MFTs, Social Workers, LPCs, and Counselors.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Apply 2-3 key ACT interventions (acceptance, defusion, values) to help clients process and move beyond abandonment pain.
- Identify 2-3 ways to integrate ACT principles into treatment plans for clients struggling with abandonment-related issues.
