Dr. Rivka Edery is a skilled, committed and empathetic therapist focusing on trauma and complex PTSD. She holds a doctorate in clinical and applied psychology and is licensed as a clinical social worker. Her dedication lies in aiding individuals in overcoming abandonment issues, complex trauma and attachment challenges. Employing proven methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) she supports clients in their quest, for strength, health and secure connections.

Course Description

This four-part, 8-hour CE series equips clinicians with Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to address trauma-bonding in former foster youth. Participants will explore how IFS’s Self-led approach helps clients navigate attachment disruptions, map iMapping Internal Systems for Trauma-Bonds" is a 120-minute interactive workshop focused on clinical application. This session moves from the "what" of IFS (Part II) to the "how," teaching therapists to actively use the model. Participants will learn to use the "6 Fs" to engage parts, map the hidden internal relationships that keep clients stuck, and analyze case studies to build clinical confidence. Internal systems sustaining trauma-bonds, and heal through techniques like unblending and witnessing, fostering resilience and relational health.

Credits

This course is eligible for 2 continuing education credits.
