Charlene Rymsha, LCSW is a Trauma-trained Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, Certified Breathwork Instructor, Brainspotting Practitioner, International Author, and Entrepreneur. Introduced to Breathwork at the start of the pandemic, she found it to be lifesaving at the time, maintains a regular practice to this day, and is honored to share this modality of transformation with fellow therapists. Charlene sees clients through her NYC-based private practice, supports therapists through dynamic mentorship programs, and seeks balance in her downtime through quality time with loved ones, being in nature skiing or mountain biking, and making art.
During this 2-hour workshop the psychological, physiological, mental, and emotional impact of Breathwork will be explored. Focus will be placed on how this modality is specifically helpful for therapists working with high-risk populations, such as those who have experienced foster care, to decrease stress and gain a deep sense of mental wellbeing. An overview of the integration of mind and body and how Breathwork sessions move from informational to experiential will be provided. Participants are guided through a full-length Breathwork session to gain an embodied understanding of the power of this self-care modality.
This course is eligible for 2 continuing education credits.
This course is suitable for Psychologists, LMHCs, MFTs, Social Workers, LPCs, and Counselors.
