Laura Rushing is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in private practice. She has a passion for working with tweens, teens, and women as they work towards healing and finding their worth. She specializes in working with trauma, grief, and self-esteem. Prior to private practice, she worked as a school social worker at both elementary and middle schools. She loves incorporating sand-tray and creative therapies into sessions as much possible. Before social work, she taught first grade in Bryan, Texas. She is a proud mother of two preschoolers and two puppies.

Course Description

This presentation will enhance your professional skills in working with teens who self-harm, and teach you strategies to communicate with and connect with their parents/caregivers to provide supportive avenues for treatment.

Credits

This course is eligible for 1 continuing education credit.

Target Audience

This course is suitable for MFTs, Social Workers, LPCs, and Counselors.
